Speaking at a recent campaign event, Barrack Obama showed his liberal, socialistic, marxist, and stupid side once again:
I don't understand when people are going around worrying about, "We need to have English only." They want to pass a law, "We want just, uh, we want English only." Now, I agree that immigrants should learn English. I agree with that. But, but, understand this. Instead of worrying about whether, uh, immigrants can learn English -- they'll learn English -- you need to make sure your child can speak Spanish. You should be thinking about how can your child become bilingual. We should have every child speaking more than one language. You know, it's embarrassing, it's embarrassing when -- when, uh, Europeans come over here, they all speak English, they speak French, they speak German. And then we go over to Europe, and all we can say is, "Merci beaucoup."
He is just an embarassment. I find myself cringing everytime I hear him speak, for fear he will make yet another, stupid comment. His inferiority complex is coming through loudly and clearly. He wants to be more like the cool kids in Europe, who speak French and German. Could it be they speak French and German because they live in France or Germany? What a moron.
Imagine traveling Europe by car, and you drive as far north from Italy as you can, you will drive through Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Copenhagen, and Sweden. That's seven languages. Why do you think English is spoken in nearly every corner of the world including at all airports, on airplanes and in air traffic control towers?
Yes, being bilingual is interesting and useful. But we still live in America where our primary language is English. Still. Spanish will never take over as the primary language in America. Given that America has thousands of foreign countries represented in our immigrants, it is arrogant to think that hispanics are the only group worthy of having their language spoken.
Yet, Obama is such an idiot that he believes that we need to accomodate the languages of our immigrants. Does he speak Mandarin or Tagalog? His French doesn't sound very good. How about Swahili - isn't his father's family from Kenya?
With American students barely able to pass their high school exit exams, and American kids unable to even put a grammatically correct sentence together, how about we put more effort into learning English - our own language. Parents, don't teach your kids another language; make sure that can speak, read and write English correctly first.
Obama is an idiot. It seems that American's are finally waking up to his true colors.

As a British citizen, I won't commrent on American politics, but I will comment on a linguistic matter. I would like to argue the case for learning and usinf Esperanto. It is a planned language which belongs to no one country or group of states. Take a look at www.esperanto.net
Esperanto works! I've used it in speech and writing in a dozen countries over recent years. What do you think?
I think you may be getting a little twisted up here. Obama suggests that learning a foreign language might be beneficial, and you wingnuts are up in arms, crying elitist, elitist, elitist. At the same time, McCain claims to know nothing about economics and can't use a computer and you guys feel so proud of him. What planet are you on and what century are you in?

I used to wonder why it was so important to some that English be declared the official language of the U.S. Then I travelled in China for 2 1/2 weeks (adopting a child). There are over 200 languages spoken there, and many learn Mandarin, the official language since about 1950, as a second language. And many learn English because, as one of our guides said, "It's the official language of the world." What I learned is that the many languages impeded trade, travel, economic growth, etc. I saw first-hand the benefit of having one language. That said, I agree that learning a second language is helpful. I would put it in the "nice to have" and not the "necessary to have" category.
Leaving aside that comprehension might actually be more important than typo-free writing...
Since Tex thinks that spelling the name of the ultra-liberal candidate is so important, maybe we should all refer to him simply as Hussein.
The Irony of African American Racism
Pollsters inform us that 80-90% of black Americans are in favor of Barack Hussein Obama becoming the President of the United States; an amazing statistic, until we realize just who the most vocal racist in America really are. The irony of the lopsided polls and the possible Democrat victory in November is sure to bring about the last laugh from our foreign distracters when realization sets in pointing to the exceedingly high likelihood that Senator Obama's ancestors were involved in the slave trade. Could it be that the Senator's ancestors actually contributed to the racial problems we face today? Who knows, maybe his Muslim anscestors from Kenya didn't believe in slavery...it's possible.
Nonetheless, Sen. Obama freely admits that his heritage includes the Muslim religion and his father was from Kenya. Well take a look at the following from the attached link:

The real world is, fend for yourself, Do then die. That is life's cycle. Personally I am NOT voting. It's all rigged as is. If you think for one minute having a president makes two damn bits of difference IT DOESN'T! He doesn't even run teh country, Congress does. So you all sitting here bashing someone over what they say, Means nothing to the world, NOR to the goverment.
If you don't go directly to congress and voice yourself, you will NEVER be heard nor will your thoughts ever count. There is nothing in this world better then doing then dieing. If you think for one minute you will get some fat stimulus payment and it will help. No it won't. You'll get money, and then they just jack up the prices, and the reason for this is congress and wall street. You need to look at facts before making ANY decision based on what either of these fools say. It's all BS.
As for learning a second language, I'm aginst it. It's PURE choice. If you plan on visiting another country, you should be required to speak there native language. If you can't then your not going. Simple as that. People need to allow our kids to have a choice, and not be dictated on the lines of YOU HAVE TO, Forcing a child into learning something of another country won't make change, Instead show them the realm of the country's, the background's, the present, life. ANd then let them choose. Forcing spanish is lame, and personally it sounds like they say the same word over and over and just change the speed.
I do believe in change, and I believe in choice. The way McCain or Obama is going about this, the us will just emplode. Gee do you think everyone see's this coming. I don;t think so. But since noone has a right to free speech anymore and I have to post this anonymously or I would get flamed by sociopath's. This world is cruel and sick, There is no guidence. It's just dictated, and this is why the kids of today are rebelling, and it's only going to get worse. I am a father of 2. And I am trying to move from this hell hole I'm in to better my kids future. Living here it will end up being yet another product of the system, instead of them defining themselves into the world.
I honeslty hate the USA, becasue of all the BS that is through and through. The lies, the killing, and all other BS. Noone likes my point of views becasue I am a moralist. And I see no point on why the USA sticks its nose in Iraq's business. If we supply ourselves with supplies then we don't need them, we won't have money troubles, and 90% of americans would have a damn job, but instead only about 25% of america has a "stable" job.
point being, Voting changes nothing, congress has the only say in anything done. the rest is a coverup just to hide the way they handle themselves. Ask congress for proof they don't get in the middle. Don't allow congress to vote period. take there rights for a term like they do to us 24/7..
