Congratualtions Governor Schwarzenegger! And to all of the other Republicans who won their races in California.

Go figure. California picked up Republican seats while the rest of the country lost Republican seats.

I find it ironic that yesterday the Dems were poised to file lawsuits blaming voter machines, Republican voter supression, even stupid voters, for their losses. But as soon as they realized they were winning, the defective processes and stupid voters were working just fine.

As Republicans, we blame ourselves when we lose elections. We know it is the fault of our elected leaders for not sticking to the party platform we elected them to uphold.

Ironically, even the Dems elected ran on more conservative platforms... pro-life, pro-gun, Christian... Only the libs on the coasts remain ultra-left liberal. Now we'll have to watch to see if the conservative Dems actually uphold their campaign platforms.

Conservatism is alive. Liberals had no platform. The election was a vote of no-confidence for the current Republicans. Watch what conservatives do to our party...

So true. So the solution is to stop electing two faced repubs.

Felching Hen,

Admit it, you lost and so did your radical ideology. Roll over now, and play dead

Rumsfeld has just stepped down.

But he was doing a heck of a job Bush said so.

It is about time, years late.

Geez you anon libs. You are so predictible. Are you that mad that we're not mad?

And what did you expect President bush to say about him while he was still in office? that he was a failure? C'mon. No employer bad mouths one of his top people. All deals are struck behind closed doors. But then, I wouldn't expect liberals to know much about integrity and loyalty.

More aptly it should read: LOOK what conservatives did to our party!

I told you and RC (2+ years ago)and all the other right wing political hacks who followed Rush's Mantra, to "kick out the RINO's" would come back to bite you in the Arse. Well, Guess I can gloat once again as a long time moderate Republican, who did not stand for your SUPPOSED conservative ideals. I still challenge you to define your "conservative" pinnings, jen.

BTW--hows your hero Rummy holding up? Can you say, not enought troops to fight a war based on lies?

Too bad Rummy wasn't fired before the election. The big thing about Iraq is the PERCEPTION of who has the initiative. Right now it feels like a stalemate.

The Dems successfully made this a referendum on Bush and the war, and perhaps rightfully so, though I cringe at the Democrats being the alternative. They have voiced no other plan I have heard about.

Back to Rummy, had he been fired before the election, and some strategic changes in how the war was prosecuted were enacted, voters would sense the US had the initiative, and the election might have turned out differently.

They are cheering at Nacny Pelosi's office, and probably Osama Bin Laden's as well.

Though it is not the Democrats intent (I hope,) this victory gives credence to the insurgent's belief they can break our will and out last us. Look for even more escalation by our enemies.

Jen, the public has spoken.

Your post yesterday about Dem's stealing elections and the prepping for recounts is laughable.

What we learned from this election is the country likes the middle, the moderates. The country does not like extremists. Most of the Dem's that won seats are not LIBERALS but moderates. Maybe you view them are liberals, but they share many of your values, as do I.

Sactodan. Rumsfeld made too many mistakes and in all honesty, Bin Laden & Al Quaida were probably much happier that he was in charge.

Mr. Sleep, my post yesterday about the election stealing is not laughable, unless you think what liberal lawyers were doing is funny. I find it reprehensible. When the dems find themselves losing (as in 2000 & 2004) they cry foul, call republicans crooks, and send in their lawyers to deflect and create scandal where there is none. This is documented yesterday, and every previous election going back for years.

As far as your assessment of Rumsfeld, I think it's pompous. We citizens have not a clue what really went on with the war handling. For us to claim any understanding or insider knowledge is arrogant.

True we do not know ALL the details but anyone that does not know Rumsfeld screwed up has not been paying attention or listening to the uniformed military.

Bush is worse though for making the decision to go into Iraq in the first place.

Arrogant, baloney.

Not enough troops on the ground from the get go. Plus Rumsfeld made the decision to disband the Iraqi Army, and disband all forms of Government after the Fall of Sadaam. Bonehead decisions plain and simple.

Try to take an evenhanded approach on the topic of stealing elections. Go back 50 years, and I would agree with you, that Dems in conjunction with Big Labor did there fair share of stealing elections. Now Big Labor has been gutted of their influence, and Big Business dominates the playing field. Wake up and smell the Coffee. Sending Lawyers in to whine and plead is but a feeble attempt to steal and election because that is too late, it's after the fact.

The Dem's are minor leaguers today in election manipulation. The Republicans have rewritten the book on it, and they are damn good about it too.

Oh please... Big labor has been disbanded? Yeah right. Can you say Big Unions? Mr. sleep, you need to get your head out of that happy place you live in. Liberals and Big Unions fo together like republicans and earmarks... Yes, corporate America is unsavory, and I don't like the momopolies. Tey are unhealthy to the Capitalistic way of life. But Big unions are doing far more damage in this country and this state.

Look at the campaign contributions for the left... Unions through and through and on every level.

Look at what unions have done to the auto industry in this country. In fact, look at what unions have done to the quality of just about anything manufactured in America. So before you blame big business for outsourcing and the ruination, look closer at why they do it... UNIONS=CORUPTION.

I would suspect this comment to come from that doof hogue, but you?
TOO BAD???? PERCEPTION?

Gee Dan, and how do YOU feel the war is going? Well? Are we losing? Not taking in enough casualties for you? What??

I can't believe this crap coming supposedly from an R side person, then again, when you're weak-kneed, moderate/lib of the R side, why SHOULD I be surprised.

The PERCEPTION of how Iraq is going, is because OUR side fails to reign in UNchecked reporting of the war and it's conduct. During WW2, it was called MILITARY CENSORSHIP. What's it called now??
PC.....1st Amendment rights....freedom of the press.

Bullshit.

It's a WAR ZONE.......period.

Problem is, OUR COUNTRY failed to do what CONGRESS was SUPPOSED to do...declare war. But on what?
Smoke and mirrors??? How do you declare war on an " idea? "

COngress failed in it's duty to enact a declaration of war...CONGRESS FAILED. Not Bush.
Congress failed to reign in our rampant HELP THE OTHER SIDE media....not Bush.
OUR side failed to put out GOOD news, in the wake of tons of HORRIBLE news. THAT, is Bush's fault.

Then again, when you have Demo's in charge of the media, voting polls, lawyers in the winds, Rhino's in out party, and whiney liberal/moderate Repubs running around un-supervised, what do you expect???
